Ceramic workshop with Hans Pillen

Welcome to a five days workshop with Dutch potter Hans Pillen, who is one of Europe’s foremost in tea ware. During this workshop he will share his knowledge on how to make Chawan (tea bowls) in traditional Japanese handbuilding techniques and how to fire them in a mini raku kiln. You will also participate in Japanese tea ceremonies and learn how to make Chashaku (bamboo teaspoon) and Wagashi (special sweets that are served together with the tea during the ceremony). Hans Pillen will also show images from his large catalogue of potter’s from all over the world, who are specialized in making Chawan.

Participated in 2 Japanese tea ceremonies

Workshop fee:
